A simple trick would be to plant your camera in a position and act as if you are shooting this. Make it appear as if you have changed your mind at the last minute and you have decided to shoot another scene. You can try to adjust the settings of your camera while it is poised at a different location and then quickly snap away as you turn to the scene you really want to take.
